Art workshops

I run a variety of art workshops for recreational, educational, therapeutic, and research purposes. The workshops involve various combinations of art-making, discussions, interviews, and reflections. They run from 2 hours to a full day.

I have experience in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. I am especially interested in use of recycled and repurposed materials, as well as running workshops focused on reflecting on one’s identity and building community. I work a lot with immigrant and LGBTQ+ groups. I have experience of working with all age groups and levels of ability: I work with adults, children and your adults of all ages, as well as SEND groups.

I have previously run workshops for a variety of organisations, including the Royal Academy of Arts, the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Hastings Contemporary, King’s College, Goldsmiths College, Aalto University, Lewisham Council, Unbox Diversity, hARTslane, and Ealing OPEN Art Centre.

Examples of workshops include:

  • Exploring safe space through recycled materials and mixed media sculpture
  • Thinking about gender through monoprinting
  • Drawing with a life model
  • Rethinking social structures through abstract painting
  • Exploring one’s ancestry through drawing and painting
